As part of BER program, M2a has been commissioned to design a new library, upgrade administration, refurbish student toilets and undertake classroom refurbishments at Waimea Heights Primary School.
Our solution is to insert a new building between existing buildings to form a new hub for the school and in the process to redevelop the external spaces and walkways to provide sheltered and fully accessible pedestrian flow.
The roof form of the Library will allow good natural light deep into the space and provide for good cross-flow ventialtion when required.
Construction is due to commence late April 2010 and be complete March 2011.
